From the 1st to 5th of October 2024, the Réseau Semences Paysannes, SOL Alternatives Agroécologiques et Solidaires and the Maison des Semences Paysannes Maralpines organize an International farmer Seeds gathering entitled "Sow your resistance" in the Alpes Maritimes. The participants will spend two days on host farms before meeting in Antibes from the 3rd to 5th of October. The 3 days in Antibes are divided as follows:

• A day of technical workshops (Thursday 3rd of October) on vegetable seeds, tree seeds, field seeds and political and legislative issues (workshop run by our partner Let's liberate diversity).
• A thematic day on “Seeds and migration" (Friday 4th October): two sessions of 3 to 5 workshops in the morning, followed by a plenary session in the afternoon.
• A day open to the public (Saturday 5 October) with workshops, conferences, forum, etc.

The 2024 International Gathering will be the result of our exchanges. We want them to be a platform for all those who want to share their knowledge and expertise. Two types of sessions (from 1h30 to 1H45) are therefore requested:

• Presentation and debate sessions. They must allow at least 30 minutes for discussion between the speakers and the participants.
• Participative workshops aiming to build collective reflection and exchange of know-how.

Two slots are available for the workshops:

• Thursday afternoon, October 3: workshops on specific species (arboriculture, field crops, vegetables, etc.) focusing on technical issues.

The aim is to offer technical workshops to share know-how about seeds.

• Friday 4 October morning: workshops on the theme of "seeds and migration".

The sessions and workshops should make this theme the focus of their work, or keep it as a context for their proposals.

Sessions must ensure that the space for exchange is welcoming and as open as possible to the diversity of perspectives. The speakers shall be attentive to the place from which they are speaking (taking into account in particular questions of gender, race and class). We would ask you to take a close look at the profiles of the speakers so that the workshops offered are as inclusive as possible. In order to ensure that everyone is represented, the workshops/sessions must be run by three organisations, at least two of which must be from different countries. The organising committee has therefore chosen to give priority to proposals for sessions run by several collectives, involving a diversity of countries of origin of the collectives and/or speakers, in order to enrich the viewpoints on the different themes addressed.

Terms and conditions

Proposals must include :

• A title (possibly a subtitle),
• A description of the theme of the session or workshop (max 500 words),
• For participatory workshops, a description of the format, the participatory approach and the maximum number of participants estimated.
